A COURTEOUS GESTURE
I g 1! inviting the members ol the Jtcli-tice l-orcc in Wanganui to , be lhe guests of the management at the first exhibition of ’ the defence film. ‘‘The Warning.’’ the management of the Regent Theatre has made a very courteous gesture to lhe men of the Xew Zealand Army. These young men are vitally concerned Io meet the dangers involved in modern life by learning all that there is io be taught, them of the technique of defence. It is the undoubted duty of the community to let the members of i lhe Defence Force know that their voluntary efforts on behalf of their country are appreciated, and such appreciation is likely : to provide the best, stimulus to recruiting that can be fashioned. It is to be hoped that such public recognition, in and out of uniform, will be in evidence on other occasions in ihe future.
