WANGANUI ASSOCIATION ' CLP COMPETITION MATCHES MA RIST DEFEAT ATHLETIC. (By Waveriey.) The Wanganui Football Association Cud competition was advanced a further stage on Saturday. On Cook’s Gardens Athletic suffered their second defeat of the season when Marist defeated them by 2 goals to 1. On Victoria Park Eastbrooke played their best game to date and had technical Old Boys on the run practically all day. Eastbrooke were leading by 4 goals to 1 ten minutes from the finish. but Old Boys in a thrilling finish scored three goals and the final whistle sounded with the score even. , Eastbrooke and Technical Old Boys.
