REQUEST TO FEDERATION | OF LABOUR NEED FOR CONCENTRATION ON; PRODUCTION I Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, June 19. ”1 would like to see the New Zea-1 land Federation of Labour call a truce for 12 months for awards and concentrate on production,” said Mr. T. O. Bishop, secretary of the New Zealand Employers’ Federation in Conciliation Council. Mr. Bishop reviewed New Zealand's economic position and said the Dominion would be lucky if the present wages conditions were maintained for another 12 months or two years. He thought the unions should be content to consolidate their positions! rather than to seek wage increases at i the present time.
