An early Government announcement is expected by the Press on the results of lhe comprehensive examination by the Colonial Secretary, Mr. Malcolm MacDonald, of Britain’s colonial policy machinery. The Daily Telegraph and Morning Post expects that a decision will be taken to set up a colonial committee on the lines of the Estimates Committee of the House of Commons. It is believed, adds the Telegraph, that a responsible committee with which immediate contact could be made by anybody in the colonies who wishes to have any particular matter brought to the notice of Parliament, would be acceptable to the colonists in all parts o£ the Empire.
