ANOTHER MOTOR SMASH SLIPPERY APPROACH TO BRIDGE Bulls Bridge has been very much “in the news’’ lately, and another car came to grief at. the south end on Friday last, a Wanganui motorist approaching from the direction of i Palmerston North finding the structure, a one-way one, blocked by an- ' other car. and his brakes not holding ! on the slippery approach, a new car ! was forced into the end of the bridge, , considerable damage resulting to the i radiator and super-structure of the • vehicle. Motorists have been warned j repeatedly of the danger of skidding, > both on the bridge and on the down- i hill southern approach, but the toll of the car still continues, and in wet or frosty weather the trouble will not be removed until a new two-way bridge is erected to carry the heavy traffic using this important main highway.
