CASTLECLIFF LADIES’ CLUB

FIRST AN.M AL HANDICAP TOURNAMENT. The Castlecliff Ladies' Golf Club are to hold their first annual handicap tournament on June 28, 29 and 30. The fairways and greens are in first-class order so that intending competitors are assured of ideal golfing conditions. The tournament is an all-handicap one and an excellent programme has been drawn up. Two qualifying rounds will be played on the Wednesday. The first sixteen best aggregate net scores will qualify for the Castlecliff Handicap and the next sixteen for the Cornfooi Handicap. In conjunction with the qualifying rounds a medal handicap event will be played in the morning and a Stableford bogey and a teams match in the afternoon. On the Thursday morning the first of the handicap flights will be held with a medal handicap event. In the afternoon lhe second round of the handicap flights will be played with a bogey handicap. The first round of the Elimination Handicap events in three divisions will be brought into play for those who are eliminated after the first round of the Castlecliff, Kiwa and Cornfoot Handicaps. On the Friday the semi-finals and finals of all the handicap events will be played with a handicap four-ball bogey to be competed for in the morning, and a consolation medal round in the afternoon. Trophies will be given for the best

gross score in the qualifying rounds also for the putting competition. The privileges of the links will be extended to all Intending competitors from June 25. Light lunch and afternoon tea will be obtainable at the clubhouse. Entries close on Saturday, June 24. With the excellent playing conditions and the attractive programme, competitors are assured of a happy and enjoyable time at the Castlecliff Ladies’ Golf Club tournament.
