OHAKEA Mr. and Mrs. McKinnon have left on a motor tour of the North Island. Mrs. H. Mansell has returned to duty. PATEA. Mr. and Mrs. W. Parsons, Whenuakura, are holidaying at Rotorua. Mrs. Foreman is the guest of her daughter, Mrs. F. Sounness. Miss Mary Parsons, Whenuakura, has taken up nursing at Whakatane. Miss Lynch, Wanganui, has been visiting Whenuakura. Mrs. Lee Honeyfield is visiting friends at Manaia. the teachers of St. George's Sunday School, Misses P. and G. Kelly, L. ! and G. Bond, K. Rook and J. Hill, ; recently re-decorated the schoolroom, staining and painting the woodwork and re-frosting windows. Mr. L. Moore, Okoia, is visiting his parents, Mr. and Miss R. E. Moore. TAIKAPE Miss V. Robertson, of Wellington, is visiting Taihape. Miss Robertson was formerly a member of the staff of the Taihape branch of the Bank of New Zealand. Master Ronald While, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. White, of Taihape, returned on Monday evening from a visit to Australia with a party ol returned soldiers’ sonsMiss Phyllis Steele, of Sydney, arrived in Taihape by the express on Wednesday evening on a brief visit to this town. Rev. Father Connor left by car for Palmerston North on Tuesday, en route to Carterton, to take up his new duties in that centre. Mr. Robert Blair, of Auckland, is on a visit to Taihape. Mr. Blair was a resident of Taihape from 1893 to 1905, and is greatly impressed with the progress of the town. The friends of Mr. J. M. Scott will regret to learn that his son, Mr. JackScott, who was injured in a motor accident in Wellington, has taken a turn for the worse and is now in a very serious condition. Mr. J. Menzies, of I he Taihape Post .Office staff, is visiting Auckland. MARTON Miss Gladys and Dulce Whale have returned to Marton after a tour of the Coromandel Peninsula, and the Waikato district. At a meeting of the Rangitikei Referees’ Association, on Wednesday i evening, Messrs. G. Harre, T. Woods, A. W. Setford, M. Fisher and W. H. Holland were elected new members. Dr. J. D. Willis, of Greatford, who is now in London, has obtained his M.R.C.P.
