JAPANESE AIM
ARMY OF 800,000 6,000,000 RESERVE NEW CONSCRIPTION LAW. Received April 27, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, April 26. The Tokio correspondent of Times says that the amended conscription law, when fully operating, will give Japan a standing army of 800,000 men, who will undergo two years’ service at lhe rate of 400,000 a year, providing eventually a reserve of 6,000,000 trained men.
