es POWER TO RAISE NEW CAPITAL in At the annual meeting of the Bank of Australasia in London on March id 30 a proposed new supplementary charter and alterations to by-laws T were approved. Power was asked to raise further capital to an extent limited only by the approval of sharek - holders and not as limited by the pre,r’ sent charter to £6,000,000, of which ,ia £4,500,000 has already been issued. <"• Power was also asked to issue new n ’ capital in shares of any amount that or might be thought desirable, and to issue them free of contingent liability, :h if desired. h Tne new by-laws will authorise the or establishment of separate share registers in Australia and New Zealand, in JX addition to the principal register in ,L London. It is expected that this will . make the shares more attractive in ’ ft the two Dominions.
