Damage to Signs.
The fact that the association's signs were damaged to a considerable extent in parts of the district was reported at last night’s meeting of the executive of the Automobile Association (Wanganui) when it was decided to secure 200 small metal notices announcing a reward for information leading to the apprehension of an offender. Patrol L. F. Dowling said that in the National Park area the signs were shot to pieces by adults, and in the Raetihi, Ohakune, and Rangitaua districts they were damaged by stones. “The sign at the Raukawa Falls on the WanganuiRaetihi highway is a study in black and white,” he declared, referring to the manner in which the sign has been autographed.
