TELEGRAPH ENGINEER NEW PLYMOUTH OFFICE To (LOSE As was intimated in the '’ChronicL recently, control of the Wangan telegraph engineer’s office will n pass to New Plymouth, in spite* fears expressed that the trails! would be made. Last month the a: nouncement was made that the Wa ganui office would be closed and th. Mr. A. A. Bollons, telegraph enginei in Wanganui, would be transferred New Plymouth, from which cent control would be exercised. After further consideration, it is a; nounced, the decision has been mat that the telegraph engineer’s office Wanganui is to be retained and 11 New Plymouth office closed. The mai agement of both engineering distric is being undertaken by Mr. Boiloi from the Wanganui office, where tl present local staff will be augmente New Plymouth was made an ind pendent branch in 1937.
