SHEEP GUESSING. The winners of the sheep guessing competition held at the Waverley A. and P. Show' on Saturday were Messrs. W. P. Thompson 1, B. W. Harvey, M. T. Hopkinson and A. Blake 2, equal. DEATH OF WELL-KNOWN WAVERLEY HORSE The death has occurred at Waverley of the well-known show horse Osprey owned by Mr. E. P. Symes, of this district. Osprey was awarded the ribbon for champion hack on 70 occasions, competing at shows from Hawke’s Bay to New' Plymouth. He also gained 535 award tickets, his owner having a cover made entirely of his championship ribbons. The last time this wonderful horse was shown about five years ago, he was declared champion hack, and has now' died a natural death at the age of 31 years.
