POST AND TELEGRAPH STAFF CHANGES

TELEGRAPH ENGINEER AT WANGANUI PROMOTED TO NEW PLYMOUTH Mr. A. A. Bollons, telegraph engineer at Wanganui, has been notified of his promotion to New Plymouth. Mr. Bollons came tc Wanganui two years ago to succeed Mr. D. T. Allan, who retired on superannuation. Prior to coming tc Wanganui Mr. Bollons was on the staff of the district telegraph engineer Wellington. Before that he was telegraph engineer at Masterton. So far, no appointment of a successor to Mr. Bollons has been .made. He succeeds Mr. D. Donaldson, telegrapt engineer at New Plymouth, who hat keen transferred to Auckland as telegraph engineer. Mr. M. Wallace, overseer lines staff, in the telegraph engineer’s department, Wanganui, has been promoted to the position of inspecting overseer, G.P.0., Wellington. Mr Wallace has been in Wanganui for the past eight years. No appointment has yet been made to fill the position he is vacating. The chief postmaster at New Plymouth, Mr. C. Clark, has received notice of transfer in the latest list of appointments and promotions. Mr. Clark is to be chief postmaster in Hamilton. The postmaster in Thames, Mr. D. R. McCowatt, will succeed Mr. Clark as chief postmaster in New Plymouth. Mr. R. G. May. who was chief postmaster in New Plymouth before Mr. Clark, and who is now to be succeeded in Hamilton by Mr. Clark, has been appointed chief postmaster in Auckland.
