A HAPPY EXPERIENCE
TOUR OF NEW ZEALAND SIR JULIEN CAHN S TRIBUTE t Pet Preta V-v.ocijLion. j AUCKLAND, March 21. “Our cricketing experience in th Dominion has been a happy one,” sail Sir Julien Cahn before sailing on th Niagara. The team found goowickets everywhere, though many o the outfields, including Auckland were below standard, due to the far that football was played on them i the winter. The finest green was i Dunedin, and the best wicket at Edei Park. He considered Kerr and Weir th finest batsmen the side played against While there were useful bowlers, n cne was outstanding. Sir Julien said he did not see th Test match, but formed the opinio: from other games that the fieldin was not up to the standard usual it New Zealand first-grade players. Th general impression was that h standard of play throughout Ne\ Zealand was equal to that when hi team last met a New Zealand side i England in 1937. He added that th standard of schoolboy cricket showe promise for the future of the garni and he was looking forward to th next visit of a New Zealand team t England.
