Presentation to Player. A useful member of the Wanganui Croquet Club, Mrs. J. Carrig, was pre- : sented with a gift and the best wishes ' .were expressed for a happy holiday in , Australia by the club president, Mrs. ' Ballingall. Last Monday night, members of the ' Young Contingent of the Victoria ’ League held a sewing bee at the Vic- < toria League Roms in aid of the . Children’s Health Camp. After the : sewing was finished a light supper brought the evening to a close. Farewell Party. Mrs. W. Dobie entertained a number of friends at her home to bid , farewell to Mrs. and Miss Strauch, who are leaving Waitotara to make their home in Marton. Competitions were held and afternoon tea was served. The hostess presented Mrs. and Miss Strauch with a parting gift and pretty shoulder sprays. Miss Strauch, on behalf of her mother and herself, thanked Mrs. Dobie and the guests for their good wishes.
