DAY OUT FOR STAR . UNION WINS SENIOR FOURS ■I Wanganui rowing clubs were represented by 21 crews at the Napier regatta on the Ngaruroro River at Clive, on Saturday. Fine weather ; I prevailed for the regatta, which attracted an entry of 73 crews for 11 ' events. ‘ The chief race of the day, the senior fours, was won by Union by half a length from Napier, with AraImoho third. The Star Boating Club '•Wellington) was the most successful club and secured £23 in prizemoney for four firsts and three thirds, Union secured £lB for three firsts and a second, and Napier £l6 for two firsts and two seconds. Results were as follow: - Lightweight Maiden Fours.—Star 1, Napier 2, Union (M. Moosjnan, E. Granville. W. Mather, R. Gordon) 3. Wanganui also started. Maiden Pairs.—Star 1. Aramoho (I. Pepper and A. Delves) 1, Wellington 2, Star 3. Union led all the way to win by six lengths. Aramoho also started.
