JOHANSSON—BARRINGTON

The wedding of Ivy Edna, eldest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barrington, Auckland, and Ferdinand, third son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Johansson, of Sweden, took place at Christ Church, on Saturday, February 4. Rev. Archdeacon Young performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by an old friend, Mr. T. Dickie, wore a model frock of cream satin with lace corsage. The skirt was flared to form a train. Her veil which was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom was a gift from a friend. The bouquet carried was of deep cream and ivory roses, gladioli, carnations and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Ethel Dawson, Turakina, who wore a green georgette frock and Miss Themm Fenning, who wore a honeycoloured georgette frock. Both dresses were made alike with fully flared skirts, rucked bodices with rucked puff sleeves and velvet sashes. They carried apricot and rich tawny shaded cascade bouquets of roses, gladioli and ‘‘charm” dahlias with trails of fern sprayed with small apricot rosebuds and tied with spring green and apricot ribbon respectively. Real flower coronets of apricot polyanthus roses and mignonette were worn. The bridesmaids wore jade and patterned silver necklaces, gifts of the bridegroom. Two little flower girls, Ivy Jean Dawson, godchild of the bride, who presented her with a horseshoe and Tephany Dickie, who presented the bride with a silver key, wore coronets and dresses similar to those of the bridesmaids. They carried dainty Victorian posies of apricot and buff shaded rosebuds and mignonette with ribbor streamers of green and apricot. Gold bangles, of the bridegroom, were worn by the flower girls. The best man was Mr. T. Edmonds, Marton, and the duties of groomsman was carried out by Mrs. S. Reitman. The reception was held at the Rutland, the tables being decorated to tone with the bridesmaids’ dresses. The hostesses were Mrs. Collins, Auckland, aunt of the bride, and Mrs’ T. J. Dickie, Wanganui, friend of the bride
