MATSON—ROSEMERGY

The marriage of Mabel, fifth daughter of Mrs. Rosemergy and the late Mr. E. R. Rosemergy, to Bertram, youngest son of Mr. H. Matson and the late Mr. Matson, was celebrated at Christ Church, Wanganui, recently. The bride wore a gown of embossed magnolia satin with train appliqued with roses. Two magnolia velvet flowers held to the head her embroidered tulle veil and she carried a shower bouquet of Christmas lilies, roses and maidenhair fern. Her sisters, Mrs. A. Frowein and Mrs. R. Palmer, were matrons of honour, and her niece, Miss Loma Sutton, was bridesmaid. Their frocks were of cyclamen embossed georgette finished with posies of velvet flowers to match those on the front of the large crinoline hats which were finished at the back with long streamers and bows of green georgette. Green shoes and green lace mittens were worn and bouquets of cyclamen shaded sweet peas, stocks, dahlias, and gladioli with maidenhair fern, were carried. The bride was given away by her I brother-in-law, Mr. R. Palmer, and II he bridegroom’s brothers, Messrs. H. 'and R. Matson, were best man and groomsman. The bride’s mother, wearing a brown figured crepe frock, ’ Baku hat and fur stole, received the guests at a reception held at St. John’s Hall. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s sis-ter-in-law, Mrs. D. Matson, who wore a mustard yellow coat over a brown embossed marocain frock, with hat to match. Their posies were in autumn tones.
