COMING ATTRACTIONS
REGENT“Bulldog Drummond In Africa,” commencing on Saturday, has John Howard, Heather Angel and J. Carroll Naish starred, and on the same programme is “This Way Please,” featuring Charles “Buddy” Rogers, Betty Grable and Mary Livingstone. “Our Fighting Navy,” screening next Wednesday, has a cast headed by H. B. Warner, Richard Cromwell, Hazel Terry and Noah Be’ery, the supports including “Popeye Meets Ali Baba.” On Saturday of next week “The Gang Show” is the feature and on the stage there will appear the “Boxing Kangaroo.” MAJESTIC— Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy are seen again in "Blockheads,” commencing to-morrow. Melvyn Douglas, Florence Rico and Claire Dodd have the principal roles in "Fast Company,” screening next Tuesday. It will be followed on Friday of next week by "The Crowd Roars,” with Robert Taylor, Edward Arnold, Maureen O'Sullivan, and Jane Wyman featured. PLAZA— Barbara Stanwyck and Herbert. Marshall are supported by lan Hunter, Binnic Barnes and John Russell in “Always Goodbye.” commencing to-morrow. “Break the News,” scheduled for next Tuesday, has Jack Buchanan and Maurice Chevalier in the featured roles. Sonja Henie appears on Friday of next week in “My Lucky Star,” with Richard Greene and Cesar Romero in supporting roles. A coming attraction is “Little Miss Broadway,” starring Shirley Temple. DUCHESS— Commencing to-morrow, Gary Cooper and Jean Arthur will be seen in “The Plainsman.” Peter Lorre stars in “Thank You, Mr. Moto,” to screen next Monday. Nan Grey and Donald Woods have the stellar roles in “Black Doll,” next Wednesday’s attraction. “Waikiki Wedding,” featuring Bing Crosby and Shirley Ross, is set down for next Friday. OPERA HOUSE— Mr. Frank Neil will present on Thursday of next week the J. C. tVilliamson spectacular revue “Why Be Serious?” with Will Mahoney, America’s famous comedian, supported by Violet Carlson. Evie Hayes, Whitey Roberts, and Tex Morton, with a host of other stars.
