NEW ELECTRICAL PRINCIPLE
AMERICAN DISCOVERY (Independent Cable Service.) Received Jan. 4, 5.5 p.m. SCHENECTADY (N.Y.), Jan. 3. The General Electric Company has announced the construction of a 1,000,-000-volt X-ray tube, which will provide invaluable treatment for cancer. It will also have extraordinary industrial uses. The apparatus is based on the discovery of a new electrical principle, is equal to 90,000,000 dollars’ worth of radium, and is portable enough to be carried on a lorry. Its super-powerful X-ray can "see” through steel and concrete.
