QUEENSLAND v. N.S.W. VICTORIA BEATS QUEENSLAND. Received Jan. 3, 10.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 3. In a Sheffield Shield match against Queensland New South Wales in the second innings, made 264. Barnes 51, McCaffrey 40, Gulliver 40, Janes 42. Bowling, Ellis took five wickets for 67 runs. Queensland, in the second innings made 112 without loss. (Brown, 78 not out, Cook 30 not out). At Melbourne in a Sheffield Shield match against South Australia, Victoria in the second innings made 283 for seven wickets and declared (Lee 51, Barnett 54, Hassett 64, Sides 61). Bowling, Ward took five wickets for 126 run’s. South Australia, in the second innings, made 50 without loss. Victoria won on the first innings.
