The first day of the Stratford Racing Club’s meeting was held in fine weather with the track in perfect order and a large attendance. The totalisator handled 132,343 10s, compared with £23,980 10s on the first day last year, an increase of £8343. An error of judgment on the part of O. Mclnally, rider of Bronze Step, was found by the judical committee to be the cause of the fall of Bronze Step in the first race, but no action was taken. Results are as follow: TRIAL STAKES.
