ACTOR’S VISIT
MR. COLIN TAPLEY [ Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dec. 23. Mr. Colin Tapley, the New Zealand actor, who has become well established in Hollywood, returned to-day for a holiday after an absence of six years. He left by air at noon for his home at Dunedin. Mr. Tapley smilingly said he was not married, and was being very careful in that regard, as he could not look on it as many film people did. He had made about 60 pictures and had played practically every part possible. He had no aYnbition to play romantic leads. "All I like is oomedy. There is security in comedy and character roles. The average film life of a star is about seven years.” he said.
