MILL DAMAGED
FIRE AT MAMAI’i. [ Per Press Association.] ROTORUA, Dee. 22. Fire last evening destroyed the central portion of a large timber mill in Mamaku, operated by G. A. Gamman and Company. The mill had closed down in the afternoon for the holidays, and was unoccupied when the outbreak was discovered. Chiefly as the result of strenuous effort by' volunteer fire-fighters, the fire was restricted to ope section of the building.
