STATE OF EMERGENCY IN RANGOON
Received Dec. 23, 9.30 p.m. RANGOON, Dec. 22. A state of emergency has been gazetted as a result of civil disobedience. Usaw,editor and member of Parliament and leader of the recent demonstration, also two associates, declining to pay their fines, went to gaol amid the cheers of the crowd.
