MIDSUMMER MEETING PRINCIPAL ENTRIES (Special to “Chronicle.”) NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 5. The keen interest which is being displayed in the Taranaki Jockey Club’s midsummer meeting, to be held on Monday and Tuesday, December 26 and 27, is evident from the record nominations received. The Auckland province will again be strongly represented, there being 49 entries from that district alone. Following is the list of entries for the principal events: — Christmas Handicap, of £275; li miles.—Glen Abb, Ned Cuttie, Glenthawn, Chief Lap, Tahurangi, Sergia, Silvanus, Lady Kyra, Aussie Ra, Red Sun, Autosweep, High Sea, Lickem, Red Sand. Flying Handicap, of £175; six furlongs.—Hunting Blood, Tosh, Majority, Chief Lap, Orate, Maori Song, Triune, Race Call, Dutch Girl, Alyth, Clessamor, Red Sun, Airing, Lord Cavendish, Life Guard, Gay Seton. Atiawa Hack Handicap, of £2OO ; 9 furlongs.—Philemup, Cuislnier, Glenthawn, Namara, Gold Band, Naughty Marietta, British Banner, Brilliancy, All Bunsby, Screen Star, Windsor Chief, Wynardo, War Lap, Prime Quality, Chat, Gay Sister.
