A SAFETY ZONE
ESTABLISHMENT AGREED ON. [ British Official Wireless ] Received Oct. 26, 5.5 p.m. V RUGBY, Oct. 25. It is learned in London that the Japanese and Chinese authorities have agreed on the establishment of a safety zone in Hankow. The zone, which will cover an area of the French and the former British, Russian, and German concessions and a certain portion of the Chinese town, is practically assured. The arrangements were mostly made by foreign missionaries and merchants in Hankow, headed by the French missionary Pere Jacquinot.
