DETROIT MOTOR PLANTS
SHARP UPWARD MOVE IN BUSINESS MANY HANDS RECALLED Received Aug. 11, 10.45 p.m. DETROIT, Aug. 11. Anticipating a sharp autumn business upswing, motor plants have started intensive operations which are expected to grow until most of them reach normal production. Manufacturers have recalled hundreds of employees recently laid off. Most motor executives at present are optimistic concerning the outlook and are preparing for any sudden demand due to improvement in business generally.
