AUSTRALIAN BOMBER CRASHES FOUR MEN KILLED MELBOURNE, Aug. 11. Four members of the Australian Air Force were killed when, during a dense fog, an Avro Anson bomber crasned into th* eastern cliff at Port Phillip Bay, near Drcmana. bodies were flung in all directions and the aeroplane was smashed to matchwood. The dead are Pilot-Officer R. SySorgear i-Pilot J. Gillespie, Ar craftsman K McKerrow, and Aircraftsman R. k'awson. The fifth occupant, Aircraftsman J. Glover, escaped vilh cuts ana severe shnek. Residents heard the machine, apparently lost, seeking a landing. The crash was heard for a considerable distance. The machine struck the headland about 500 feet from the top of a dense forest of tall trees.
