TO BOOST FRENCH TRADE MODIFICATION OF 40-HOUR WEEK. Received May 23. 6.5 p.m. ’ PARIS, May 24. President Lebrun has signed decrees authorising public works expenditure of £61,000,000 spread over two years throughout France and her overseas possessions; also credit facilities to industry at low interest rates and the modification of the 40-hour week by the adoption of a 2000-hour year.
