MUNICIPAL ELECTION
CITIZENS’ LEAGUE CAMPAIGN FULL WEEK OF MEETINGS The Citizens’ League candidates for seats on the Wanganui City Council. Harbour, Hospital and Electric Power Boards, have a full list of meetings arranged from now until the election on May 11. Last night, Mr G. H. Trott, Citizens’ League candidate for the Mayoralty, spoke at Keith Street. Other league candidates who addressed the meeting were: Messrs O. Hales. A. E. Halligan, J. G. Pendreigh, J. Siddells and H. H. West. To-night the league will carry its campaign to Gonville, where the speakers will be Messrs Trott, N. B. Allan, G. E. Bennett, J. F. Milward, D. G. O’Toole and J. F. Broad. Wednesday has been arranged as the night to speak at Wanganui East. Oi. Thursday night a meeting will be ad dressed in the Aramoho boat shed, and on Monday night of next week, there wil be a big meeting in the Opera House.
