ROUGH WRESTLING

BOUT AT WELLINGTON MOEN BEATS KENNEDY [ Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, May 2. In the roughest wrestling match seen in the Town Hall, Wellington, since the Blomfield-Forsgren bout of two winters ago, Andy Moen beat Jack Kennedy on points, the falls being even. The referee was constantly warning the two professionals for infringements, and at one time stoppedthe bout and threatened to give a penalty against the next to transgress. Kennedy took a fall with drop-kicks in the sixth round. Moen secured one with a dump in the seventh, and the last round went in Moen's favour. After the contest Moen had to have his lip sewn up where Kennedy had jolted it, and Kennedy was taken to hospital to have his arm X-rayed for a suspected fracture.
