RANGIWAHIA
N.Z. NATIONAL PARTY There was a record attendance at the Rangiwahia Town Hall on Saturday evening, when Mr. Hugh Jenkins, of Wanganui, delivered an inspiring address on the political situation. Mr. Watt presided and in introducing Mr. Jenkins stated that they were pleased to welcome their visitor, whose reputation as a political speaker had preceded him. The large attendance was a testimony Io his ability as one of the leading exponents of the New Zealand National Party’s cause. Mr. Jenkins delivered an address on similar lines to that of his Bulls address and was listened to with rapt attention throughout. At the conclusion of his address the speaker answered a number of questions satisfactorily. Mr. A. Way. organising secretary for the Rangitikei electorate, spoke on the aims and objects of the New Zealand National Party, stating that the results of the organisation had exceeded the most sanguine expectations. He also stressed the necessity of those present joining the organisation and helping those workers who were devoting their time to maintain the high standard that lhe organisation had reached. Financial help would be very much appreciated. The speaker apologised for Mr. E. B. Gordon's absence. The selected candidate for Rangitikei was on a visit to Australia but he would soon be with them to start his political campaign. Hearty votes of thanks were accorded the speakers and at the conclusion of the meeting all those present were entertained at. supper by the ladies of Rangiwahia. This terminated one of the most successful and' inspiring meetings that have ever been held in Rangiwahia.
