DUCHESS THEATRE
Co-starred with Joel McCrea in "Banjo on My Knee,” at the Duchess Theatre to-night, is Barbara Stanwyck. A strong supporting cast includes Helen Westley, Buddy Ebsen, Walter Brennan, Walter Catlett, Anthony Martin and Katherine de Mille. In addition to a haunting musical background four songs have been composed by Jimmy McHugh and Harold Adamson, which are typical shantyboater melodies. They are “Where the Lazy River Goes By,” "With a Banjo on My Knee,” “There’s Something in the Air” and " ’Sippy,”
