DECREASE AT CHRISTCHURC H [ P<>r A*«oriat { on. 1 CHRISTCHURCH, May 1. There was a substantial decrease in lhe amount of Customs revenue co'lected in April in Christchurch, compared with the same month last year, but this is attributed to the la'e Easter falling on this month. The only item to show an appreciable increase in April this year was beer duty, which rose from £8759 to £ll.196. The total for all Customs collected was £167,947, compared with £187,217.
