Mrs. Duncan McPhail and Mrs. Henry Hay, of Oamaru, are the guests of Mrs. A. McPhail, St. John’s Hill. Mrs. L. G. Hindmarsh returned to Wanganui on Saturday after two weeks spent at Hastings. Mrs. W. Brown, Wanganui, has been visiting her sister, Mrs. Powell, Wellington, to celebrate her golden | wedding. Mr. and Mrs. T. H. Stratford, of ; Timaru, who are touring the North i Island, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. • Hooper. Waverley. I Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Walker, Jones Street, left Wanganui on Friday for Auckland, there to join the Aorangi for Sydney to-day. They expect to return to New Zealand in about eight weeks after an extended tour of Australia and Tasmania. ! Mr. and Mrs. H. T.
