GOLF CLUB. The bogey match played last weekend resulted in a win for H. Hiroti, who played well to finish 4 up. During the match the club captain, M. B. Wilson, established a new course record, his figures being—4, 4,3, 5,4, 4,4, 6,4, with the standard scratch score of 4,4, 3,4, 5,4, 3,4, 4. The best cards handed in were:—H. Hirst, 4 up; P. Waitere, all square; P. Jones, 2 down; C. Baldwin, 2 down; M. B. Wilson, 3 down; R. Heinold. 3 down; J. Paki, 3 down; R. Olsen, 4 down. Renewed interest was manifest last Tuesday evening when over 20 riflemen fired the first shoot of a series of four for the President’s Trophy.
