AMALGAMATION PROPOSAL i Per Press Association. ] PALMERSTON N., April 12. , The fourteenth conference of lhe I New Zealand Master Carriers’ and Customhouse Agents’ Industrial Association of Employers was accorded a civic welcome, Mr. J. H. Kirkwood, of Dunedin, president, presiding. Consideration was given some sort of amalgamation considered opportune with other transport organisations. A motion was carried setting up a committee of four to discuss with those other organisations the suggestion to form a combined federation so that a united front might be presented when th? national interests demand it.
