FRENCH SPY SCARE

MILITARY TRICKED BOGUS COLONEL INSPECTS MAGINOT LINE. LONDON, April 11. The Paris correspondent of the Daily Mail reports that the Secret Service is feverishly trying to round up spies responsible for a coup at Boulay, on the Maginot Line, where a bogus colonel masquerading as an inspector of the Defence Ministry was shown the most vital parts of the line. He took copious notes and complimented the commander on his efficiency.

The trick was not revealed till the real colonel arrived half an hour later. He was arrested as an impostor, but was able to establish his identity.

Frontier guards at Strasbourg arrested a well-known Strasbourg contractor whose luggage contained the fullest details ot the Maginot defences.
