OBITUARY
MRS MARTHA ALLAN The passing of Mrs Martha Allan, formerly known as Patty Atmore, removes another of the older residents of Wanganui. She was the daughter of Mr Seaward Atmore, of Norfolk England, and was born in Nelson in 1857. She came to Wanganui 32 years ago, residing here continuously since that time. Her late husband, Mr Thomas Bryce Allan, predeceased her by 22 years. The late Mrs Allan gave much of her time and energy in tne cultivation of plants and trees for the adornment of the city. She was keenly interested in the activities of the Knox Presbyterian Church. Her long, active, and kindly life won her a large circle of friends.
She is survived by Mrs F. H. Dexter (Marton), Mrs D. Munro (Auckland), Miss E. B. Allan (Wanganui). Mr R. H. Allan (Whangarei), and Mr N. B. Allan (Wanganui).
