NEW MAT SEASON
BLOMFIELD v. JENSEN WANGANUI NEXT TUESDAY The New Zealand champion, "Lofty” Blomfield and Lee Jensen (America) have been matched to wrestle in the Opera House, Wanganui, on Tuesday of next week. April 19. Blomfield arrives back from America on Friday next, and will have his first bout at Auckland on Monday. Jensen is a remarkably active matman who specialises in elbow jolts and flying tackles, but who has gained most of his victories with the back loop slam. Blomfield’s ability is well known to local enthusiasts and if Jensen can produce his best form (which is very formidable) the bout should be a spectacular affair. Box plans open at J. Goss and Son's to-morrow morning.
