London Lamb Market Easier CHILLED BEEF CHEAPER Lamb market.: Shade easier. Consumption is affected by Lent. Mutton market: Lightweight wethers firmer: ewes unchanged. Beef market: Frozen beef very firm. Chilled beef, easier this week owing to less demand. New Zealand porker pigs: Lightweights unchanged; other descriptions, prices have advanced. New Zealand baconer pigs. Market firmer owing to shortage of supplies. The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale qualities of the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages of the week. All prices are on the basis of delivered to Smithfield, market.
