NEW SYLLABUS

TESTS FOR CHEMISTS WELLINGTON, Dec. 23. The Gazette issued last evening contains a new syllabus for the examinations conducted by the New Zealand Pharmacy Board. The object is to bring the qualifications of registered chemists up to the level of the qualifications in the other parts of the Empire with which New Zealand has reciprocal agreements. A new intermediate course dealing with physics is incorporated in the syllabus. Candidates for examination who

were apprentice!! before January 1, 190 S, may sit for the old syllabus in section B until 1940 and section C (final) until 1942. Candidates who are apprenticed after January 1, 1008 must take the new syllabus.
