Mrs. W. L. Y’oung, Hatrick Terrace, has returned from Christchurch. Miss McLennan, Dunedin, is the guest of Mrs. W. Cook, College Street. Miss Turner, of Fiji, is the guest of Miss Gaze, Glasgow Street. Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Arkwright, Marton, were visitors to Wellington this week. Miss M. Heise, of Auckland, spent the week-end in Wanganui. Mrs. W. M. Falconer, St. John’s Hill, has returned to her home after being in hospital. Mrs. lan Rhodes and her small son have returned to Wanganui, from a visit to Mrs. T. R. Husband, of Hunterville. Miss 1. E. Lamb, of New Plymouth, who has been visiting Mrs. Scanlon, of Argyle Street, has returned home. , * * * * I Mrs. W. J. Stone, St. Hill Street [Extension, and Mrs. A. E. Halligan, I Upper Aramoho, have motored to Wellington where they will spend a few days. The Dowager Lady Swaythling, who arrived from England last week, left Auckland on Saturday for Wellington, and is the guest of their Excellencies the Governor-General, Viscount Galway and Lady Galway.
