BOARDING ALLOWANCE
TECHNICAL SCHOOL STUDENTS MINISTER AUTHORISES INCREASE [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 19. _ The Minister of Education, Hon. P. Fraser, announced that education boards, high school boards and technical school boards were being authorised to increase from 5s per week to 7s 6d the boarding allowance payable to children who were unable to attend public primary schools or postprimary schools without boarding away from home. The increased allowance will be paid from the beginning of the third term in 1937.
