POSTER CONTEST PRIZE-WINN ERS ANNO I NC ED WELLINGTON, Nov. 17. Winners of the road safety poster competition conducted by the Transport Department were decided yesteiday. The judges viewed the posters in the reception-room, Parliament Buildings, and selected the entry of Mr. L. Mitchell, Wellington, as the winner oi the 20-guinea prize. Mr. Brace Marris, also of Wellington, submitted a poster of such high, standard that the judges decided to increase the second prize awarded to him from live guineas to ten guineas. Five other posters were also selected for special praise. These were a second entry by Mr. L. Mitchell, and entries by Mr. S. Woolcott, Auckland; Holmwood, Wellington; Miss A. Seddon, Hamilton; Mr. R. N. Kelly, Wellington; and Mr. B. Miller, Lower Hutt. Subject to certain alterations several of these may be accepted at live guineas each. Satisfaction at the success of the contest was expressed by tne Minister of Public Works (the Hon. li.
