JERUSALEM, Nov. 5. Two members of the Black Watch walking at the foot of Mt. Zion and carrying only sidearms, were shot dead by two Arabs, who escaped. While Highlanders were sightseeing between the Jaffa Gate Scottish war memorial and the hospice of St. Andrew, two Arabs with revolvers crept up from the rear and shot them dead at close range. Later one Arab was shot dead and another seriously injured for resisting and stoning members of the Black Watch searching for the murderers. A large detachment surrounded the village of Silwan. There were three arrests and dogs are carrying the trail further north.
