A NEW HELICOPTER
BACKW ARDS FLIGHT BERLIN. Nov. 4. A helicopter flown by Flight Captain Hanna Reitsch astonished a crowd at Tempelhcf by flying backwards. It rose straight up from the ground, hung poised in the air, reversed, and landed gracefully. The machine is described as a cross between a windmill and a bicycle. The makers are planning others of the same class. LINDBERGH IMPRESSED Received Nov. 5. 9.25 p.m. BERLIN, Nov. 5. The helicopter on November 3 gave a further demonstration, flying sideways and hovering for several minutes 18 inches from the ground while Hanna Reitsch, the only German woman flying captain, shook hands and chatted with the Lindberghs. Col. Lindbergh described the incident as one of the most amazing in his flying experience. UNREST AND DISORDER GOVERNMENT PARTIES CABALLERO ARRESTED Received Nov. 6, 1.20 a.m. PARIS, Nov. 5. Le Matin’s Hendaye correspondent says that Senor Caballero was arrested as he was leaving Valencia for Barcelona, at Senor Negrin’s orders. Unrest and disorders are reported in Madrid.
