PERSONAL Mrs R. Bremer is a Waverley visitor to Feilding. Mrs W. Johnston, New Plymouth, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs Boyd. Mrs R. P. Palmer is the guest of Mr and Nirs G. Palmer, Marton. OBITUARY. The sudden death on Thursday, of Mr. J. A. McCall, manager of the Kohi Dairy Co-op. Ltd., for 20 years, caused quite a gloom in the Waverley district. The late Mr. McCall was on the landing stage at the factory in readiness to receive the daily milk supply, when he suddenly collapsed and was removed to the Patea Hospital where he passed away without regaining consciousness. The deceased was of a genial nature and very popular in the district, being always ready to lend a helping liaiiu to deserving causes. The sympathy of the district is extended to deceased’s widow and family. WAVERLEY LAWN TENNIS CLUB. Mr. J. D. Leckie was appointed secretary at a committee meeting of the Waverley Lawn Tennis Club on Tuesday evening. The 1937-38 season opens to-day (Saturday? and it was decided to hold a Yankee tournament.
