"That this conference, being .of opinion, that the present regulations regarding the importation of citrus fruits in New Zealand are very materially accountable for the inadequacy of the supply hncl inordinately high prices to consumers, ask the Government to take immediate steps to remedy the matter,” was the text of an amended remit carried unanimously at the annual conference of the Chambers of Commerce this morning.
